I love running.  Every time I consider this love, another reason comes to mind.  This week I marvel, at the myriad of choices, that lie out the door.  Depending on our neighborhood, there may be great choices, right down the driveway.  With car keys in hand, there's likely dozens in reach.

This past week I found myself in Vancouver, B.C.  Two blocks from the hotel was a waterfront path, that found and wound 'round Stanley Park.  Several hundred acres of old growth fir and a path with views of tall buildings, mountains and ships.  Nine glorious miles off the top of the deck.

And yesterday a solo Saturday, in our backyard.  Mt. Pisgah...Reverse Stark Reality...Nine+ for the day.  Runs with names, origins forgot, but still enjoyed, in seasonal familiarity.  The week before, I ran with coyotes, around the mountain to places unnamed, and unknown (to me).

Pull a card from the deck, like turning the page, in a brand new book.  We call it running, but it's so much more.  And the deck of cards is just the beginning...you gotta meet the jokers!
